Selection Process
The “Top One Percent” and the “Top 100” are titles awarded by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. They are accurate numerically with respect to the quantity of members, compared to the general population of attorneys in the United States. However, it is impossible to arithmetically or empirically provide a mathematical or scientific basis for either distinction. The selection process is inherently subjective, reliant on the availability of publicly available information, including information which attorneys themselves make publicly available. Membership can be revoked if an attorney is disciplined or convicted of any crime. Members can be removed for conduct inconsistent with the ideals espoused by our organization, in our sole discretion.
General
NADC is not a lawyer referral service. NADC makes no claim that any attorney is more or less equipped to competently and ethically represent any given client. Any attorney who has received this award must maintain ethical representations as to their qualifications in their own right. Similarly, clients and prospective clients seeking the services of an attorney should conduct their own inquiries in selecting an attorney who is suited to represent them in any given matter. The decision to choose or trust an attorney should not rely on an attorney’s recognition by NADC. NADC is an independent organization which, in selecting its members, is ultimately crafting an opinion, and makes no representations as to the basis of any given fact concerning an attorney’s qualifications.
