Timothy M. Etzkorn

Tim grew up in St. Louis and returned to the City for law school after attending Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. He began his legal career at a medium sized St. Louis law firm focusing on defense of personal injury and professional liability cases.  After three years, he moved to a national law firm of over 500 lawyers representing corporations and individuals on behalf of insurance companies.  He has represented doctors, other lawyers, janitors, the unemployed, and many others, in hundreds of cases throughout the Circuit Courts of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals- Eastern District, The Missouri Supreme Court, and both Missouri Federal Courts.  He has handled cases ranging from a bench trial of a simple slip-and-fall to Jury Trial on Car Accidents to  complex legal malpractice cases.  As a result, he is well schooled in the insurance-defense system and can help you fight to get what you deserve when you have been injured.

In addition to the actual practice of law, Tim has been the Co-Chair of the Missouri Bar Association Torts and Transportation Committee since 2018 and was reappointed for 2019-2020. This is the Missouri Bar Association’s Committee responsible for personal injury law.  Tim has been recognized by the prestigious Superlawyers publication each year since the opening Etzkorn & Etzkorn. In 2018 he was recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a “Top 40 under 40” and was  named a 10 Best “High Verdict and Settlement Winner” by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. In 2019, he was selected by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel as one of the Nation’s Top One Percent.

Tim believes in the rights of each individual person. He believes when you are injured by someone else, you have the right to be made whole again by their insurance company.  That is what insurance is for, to make sure people who are injured are justly compensated. He believes this so strongly, Tim quit his job and started this Firm.
