Biographical Information

Attorney

Paul J. Fina was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Riverside, Illinois. He is a personal injury attorney, who represents individuals injured by and through automobile accidents, medical malpractice, workplace accidents, negligent maintenance of property, as well as faulty products, equipment and machinery.

Mr. Fina does not simply process a large volume of cases – he represents real people with real problems on an individual basis. Every one of his clients receives the personal and proper attention he or she deserves. Mr. Fina believes that the representation of individuals injured by the negligence of another individual or corporation is one of the most challenging and rewarding areas in the practice of law. He loves what he does and his passion is evident in the dedication and attention he provides to his clients and their cases.

Mr. Fina attended the University of Illinois where he graduated with a BA and MA in Economics. After receiving his MA, Mr. Fina attended law school at DePaul University earning his Juris Doctor and then his  LLM (Master of Laws) at the University of Illinois. Mr. Fina is admitted to practice in all Illinois courts, the Illinois Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of International Trade.

Mr. Fina actively handles every aspect of the litigation process from client intake through trial. He has handled cases in both federal and state courts. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (a distinction held by only one third of one percent of attorneys in the United States), a member of the American Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Fina is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a SuperLawyer, a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a designation held by only 1% of attorneys in the country as well as other noted organizations. 1. $5 Million Dollar Class Action – Toxic Tort

Represented individuals in a class action claim against Kerr McGee Chemical Company for damages resulting from the spillage of toxic chemical waste.

2. $3 Million Dollar Electrocution

Represented the husband of a young mother who was electrocuted and died due to the failure of Commonwealth Edison Company to properly maintain its power lines

3. $2.25 Million Airline Negligence Injury

Represented a man who was severely injured due to the negligence of Lufthtansa German Airlines.

4. $1.75 Automobile Defect Injury

Represented the estate of a women killed in a Roll-over accident involving a Ford F-350 Econoline van.

5. $1.25 Million Injury on Parking Lot premises

Represented a man against a gas station/car wash owner, when he was struck by a driver exiting the car wash while standing behind his car in a parking area near the car wash.

6. $1.2 Million Head-on Automobile Accident

Represented a women injured in a head-on collision, when an on-coming driver operated his car across the center line and into her lane of traffic.

7. $1.2 Million Motor Vehicle Accident

Represented an individual injured due to the negligence of the operator of a motor vehicle

Represented a women struck and badly injured by a motor vehicle in a parking lot.

Represented a pedestrian injured due to a fall down several flights of stairs.
