Biographical Information
PATRICK A. PALACE is the owner of Palace Law Offices. He is a proud plaintiff’s trial lawyer with an emphasis on workers’ compensation, personal injury, civil rights and social security matters.
Patrick served as the President of the Washington State Bar Association from 2013-2014, which watches over the state’s nearly 35,000 lawyers. He is also a proud main sponsor and regular attendee of the “Pain in the Grass” concert series every year since 2007. Patrick has produced and moderated two television programs: “The Peoples Law School” and “LawTalk”. These programs provide consumers with information about our legal system, and citizens’ rights and remedies under the law. Patrick is a member of the American Bar Institute (ABI), is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He served nine terms on the WSAJ Board of Governors (1999- 2008) and was the Secretary in 2007. He served on many of its committees, including WSAJ’s Executive committee, chair of the Public Affairs Committee for 2 years, state co-chair of the People’s Law School (1998-2000), vice chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee, and vice chair of Development. Patrick was chosen in 2013 by the “National Trial Lawyers” as one of the Nation’s Top 100 trial lawyers and also chosen in 2013 by “Seattle Met Magazine” as one of the “Top Attorneys in Washington”. In 2012, he was awarded the Outstanding Service Award from the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association. He was also chosen in Washington Law and Politics as a “Super Lawyer” for ten years including 2014. He is a past President of the Washington State Bar Young Lawyers.
He is a regular speaker at continuing legal education seminars. He has chaired CLEs and lectured at the request of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ), the Washington State Bar Association, the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association and other organizations. He has written chapters for the WSAJ “Automobile Accident Desk Book” and the WSAJ “Automobile Accident Litigation Desk Book”.
Patrick was also the YMCA Association Chair for the Strong Kids campaign for the 2010 and 2011 for Pierce and Kitsap Counties. In April 2010, the Strong Kids Campaign raised $1.3 million dollars in contributions to support YMCA community programs targeted at youth and their families. In 2011, the Strong Kids Campaign raised an additional $1.5 million dollars. In total, $2.8 million dollars was raised by the campaign in 2010-2011. In 2014, he and his wife Lisa opened a yoga studio, The Yoga Palace, in Tacoma. Patrick is a dedicated yogi with his wife, is a father of three, and practices meditation and mixed martial arts to find balance and to further his practice of mindfulness. Patrick has a strong connection to his line of work and cares deeply about the outcome of all of his cases. He is a man of integrity who strives to be the same person, no matter what hat he is wearing. Whether he is at home with his wife and kids, practicing at his yoga studio, or at work fighting for justice, Patrick wants his actions to always come from the heart. He also has a tendency to listen to music louder than his non-rocker kids would like.

TELEVISION PROGRAMS
2000 – 2003 Executive Producer and moderator of The Peoples Law School, a monthly television program that educates the citizenry of Washington State about the laws that effect their lives. This program is aired statewide on over 17 channels. Twenty four shows have been produced to date.
1997 – 2000 Executive Producer and moderator of LawTalk, a series of 10, 30 minute television programs discussing Sexual Harassment, Family Law, On-the-job Injuries, Domestic Violence, Criminal Law, Landlord – Tenant Law, Elder Law and Social Security. This public service program was funded with an ABA grant and with matching funds from the Washington State Bar. In 1998, matching grants were renewed.
