Biographical Information

Trey Pettlon has taken numerous criminal, personal injury and wrongful death cases to trial to a jury and won outstanding verdicts for his clients.  He practices in Kansas, Missouri and federal courts.  Trey fights for his clients, and has a reputation as a zealous advocate among his peers.  Trey’s clients are most often referred by past clients or other attorneys and people who work in the courts who are in a position to know.

Trey has represented a great number of high profile clients and has been trial counsel in other high profile cases.  Recently he won a dismissal in a high profile “voter fraud” case and won a hearing on a Government motion to waive his 16 year old client to adult status for the charge of first degree murder of his father, which would have subjected to a mandatory life sentence if he had been convicted.  Both cases garnered had national attention.  Trey has also previously represented a number of important clients, people who are very familiar with the criminal justice system and chose Trey to help them with their own cases, including the Kansas Attorney General who was facing a criminal investigation, other law enforcement officers including the Sheriff of Franklin County, Kansas, who facing felony charges, and many other attorneys, criminal defense attorneys, and bondsmen charged with crimes.  Trey’s clients have also included professional athletes, doctors, nurses, teachers and people from “every walk of life.”

In wrongful death cases, Trey has won huge jury verdicts including one of the largest verdicts of the year in Jackson County, Missouri and the largest verdict of the year in Clay County, Missouri.
