Verdicts & Settlements

Hook, 839 N. W.2d 434 (Iowa 2013) – Won unanimous Iowa Supreme Court malpractice decision on three issues of first impression for the Iowa Supreme Court, affirming on issues that the defense raised and reversing on the issue we raised, improving the interpretation for injured persons in all three areas.

Koenig, 766 NW 2d 635 (Iowa Supreme Court, 2009) won unanimous opinion abolishing legal distinctions of duties owed by landowners to everyone except trespassers.

Frunzar v. Allied Property and Cas. Ins, 548 NW 2d 880 (Iowa Supreme Court 1996) won unanimous decision setting forth standards to be followed in uninsured motorist cases.

Rosas v. Danilson, 387 NW 2d 767 (Iowa Supreme Court 1986) won unanimous decision upholding dram shop judgment against a bar that over served a customer who then caused injuries in a car & moped wreck.

Many other jury and non-jury trials as well as settlements and other resolutions out of court.
