Lauren A. Wimmer

Lauren Wimmer has earned a reputation as one of the top Philadelphia criminal defense attorneys in the Pennsylvania legal community. She is a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience handling criminal defense and civil rights matters. Whether charged with minor drug offenses or high stakes crimes like murder and robbery, Wimmer fiercely advocates for every client both in and out of the courtroom.

Lauren Wimmer grew up outside of Atlantic City, New Jersey. She attended The Lawrenceville School and then Boston University. Ms. Wimmer earned both her bachelors and law degrees from Rutgers University. After clerking for a homicide judge in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Wimmer started her own law firm to fill a void that she noticed after spending every day in a courtroom where attorneys tried Philadelphia murder cases. Efficient and effective representation founded on an understanding of the difficulties clients suffer as a result of a criminal charge.

Wimmer is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Wimmer earned her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, where she was the Managing Articles Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law & Public Policy, President of the Women’s Law Caucus, and co-chair of the Mary Philbrook Public Interest Awards.

In addition to her recognition as the Nation’s Top One Percent from the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, Wimmer is the recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers Award, the Pro Bono Publico Award, a SuperLawyers Rising Star, Lawyers of Distinction, America’s Top 100 Attorneys, and a member of the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys

Wimmer is a member of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL), and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey (ACDL-NJ).
