Biographical Information

Joseph L. Benson II, Esq. hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he spent his formative years, with significant time in Incline Village, NV (Lake Tahoe), and Reno, Nevada. During his high school tenure at Earl Wooster High School in Reno, he showcased his athletic prowess in football and track & field, earning the prestigious AAA All-State Football Champions title and distinguishing himself as “AAA All State” in two skill positions. Continuing his academic journey, he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he consistently made the Dean’s Honor List. He also broadened his horizons through international studies in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico.

Driven by a passion for justice, Joseph embarked on a legal career, earning his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA, in 2000. Notably, he received instruction in international Constitutional law from the esteemed late US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia during a period at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

Since obtaining his license to practice law in Nevada in October 2000, Joseph has made significant strides in the legal arena. He commenced his professional journey as an Associate at Benson, Bertoldo, & Baker from 2000 to 2003, subsequently co-founding Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC in 2004, where he currently serves as the Managing Partner. Throughout his career, Joseph has amassed a wealth of experience, successfully handling numerous cases and trials in Justice, District, and Federal Courts, demonstrating expertise across all facets of Civil Tort Litigation, including Smith v. Firestone Tire a product’s liability claim that resulted in a terrible car accident.

In addition to his legal practice, Joseph is an active member of various professional associations, including the Nevada Justice Association (NJA), American Bar Association (ABA), and Clark County Bar Association. His outstanding contributions have garnered recognition, including membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and acknowledgment as one of the “2022 Las Vegas Leading Lawyers” by Vegas magazine. Beyond his courtroom endeavors, Joseph has shared his insights on legal matters through appearances on NBC and ABC news and has been featured in the Las Vegas Review Journal for his newsworthy contributions.
