Biographical Information

Joleen K. Youngers hit the ground running when she graduated from law school in 1992 and hasn’t begun to slow down.  She litigates throughout the state of New Mexico, in state and federal courts, with offices in Santa Fe and Las Cruces.   For the most part, she represents plaintiffs in personal injury, wrongful death, civil rights and whistleblower litigation.  Ms. Youngers also serves as a personal representative and guardian ad litem in a number of injury and wrongful death actions.

Outside of work, Ms. Youngers enjoys travel, Pilates, cycling, and hanging out with friends and family.  While born and raised in Iowa, she has now lived in New Mexico for over 30 years and loves it.

Professional Experience

Joleen Youngers has practiced in a two-person law firm for nearly 25 years, specializing in personal injury, wrongful death and civil rights.  She frequently works with other attorneys in these practice areas, both in and out of the state of New Mexico.  She finds by associating with others, she can take more cases, better manage a heavy litigation loan and benefit her clients by creating a team to represent them.

In addition to representing plaintiffs in civil litigation, Ms. Youngers also teaches trial advocacy and deposition skills for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. She teaches at a variety of NITA regional programs, as well as programs designed for large law firms and agencies.

Ms. Youngers is a member of the Board of New Mexico Trial Lawyers and also a member of the Board of New Mexico Ethics Watch.
