Biographical Information

As a native of Louisiana, John Lee Hoffoss, Jr., understands the Lake Charles community and the hardships people face after suffering a personal injury. He is able to use his position at Hoffoss Devall to guide clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives, advocating for them in the courtroom and in settlement discussions. Outside his practice, Mr. Hoffoss enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.

Mr. Hoffoss’ work ethic is rooted in his education. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana Tech University and earned a Master of Arts degree in 2001 from the same school. He went on to graduate magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in 2004.

Through memberships with organizations such as the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America, L.L.C., and the North American Brain Injury Society, Mr. Hoffoss has access to a national network of resources that are essential when building a case against a negligent defendant. He is also a part of local groups such as the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association for Justice.

Each of these activities enables Mr. Hoffoss to provide outstanding representation following an industrial accident, car crash, work injury or a collision involving a commercial vehicle. As a skilled litigator, he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States; the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
