Biographical Information

Mr. Allison is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Allison received a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University in 1997, Summa Cum Laude, and possesses a United States Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer’s License (Third Mate, Unlimited Tonnage; Second Mate, Limited to 3000-gross tons; and a Master’s License for all vessels up to 1600-gross tons).  After graduating from Texas A&M, Mr. Allison served as a ship’s officer on board tankers before transitioning his maritime career into the legal field.  Mr. Allison received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence with a Certification in Maritime Law from Tulane Law School in May 2003, where he graduated Cum Laude and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal (Volume 27).  Mr. Allison specializes in admiralty/maritime law, personal injury, transportation, maritime license defense, and complex commercial legal matters.  Mr. Allison also serves as general counsel to various inland marine towing companies and a marine diesel distributor.
