Basil Thomas Chapman

Basil Chapman is a Family Law Specialist  Certified by The State Bar of California and has been practicing  both Family Law and Civil Litigation for over 30 years. He graduated Rutgers University and California Western School of Law Magna Cum Laude where he was Notes and Comments Editor of the law review where his first article was chosen for publication. He was a partner for 10 years with the 200 attorney law firm of Best, Best and Krieger in Riverside, California in the Civil Litigation Department, obtained State Bar Specialist Certification and later, in 1999 ,opened the Law Offices of Basil Chapman serving Coachella Valley(a/k/a “The Palm Springs Area” ) with offices in Palm Desert  California and Indian Wells California. He handles both routine and highly complex matters some of which are a hybrid of Family Law (i.e.,divorce,support,custody, property division,business valuation and division etc.) and civil litigation. He has a 10.0 rating in AVVO, is an inductee into Superlawyers and has been rated “Top Attorney” for the past 5 years in Palm Springs Life magazine. He was elected as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Desert Bar Association for 10 consecutive years and is a Past President of that organization as well as a member of many other professional organizations.He has many successful multi-million dollar results by both trial and settlement.
